ARC encourages our employees to be personally involved with charitable organizations in our community. Many ARC employees serve on the boards of, and are actively involved in numerous Alberta-based charities. A few of the charities and community projects we currently support include:
University of Calgary
ARC is one of the founding donors of the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership in Business. The Centre will provide leadership education for undergraduate and graduate students at the Haskayne School of Business.
Mount Royal University
The ARC Financial Scholarship was created in December 2011. The fund will provide 10 scholarships annually for 5 years, and recognize the academic achievements of students in the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
ARC employees are active on many United Way Boards and Subcommittees, and ARC has been awarded the Platinum Award for employee participation in the United Way campaign for each of the last 15 years. In 2014, ARC received the Award of Excellence - the United Way's most prestigious award for companies with less than 500 employees. The United Way funds programs that give individuals and families the opportunity to reach their potential and improve their quality of life.
Honens International Piano Competition
ARC has been a supporter of Honens International Piano Competition since 2002. Honens is a leader in discovering and launching the careers of young concert pianists with the world’s most comprehensive artistic and career development program.
ARC has been a supporter of the Impact Society since 2006. The Impact Society is based in Calgary and has worked with over 150,000 youth to increase their self-esteem through a number of programs.
Creation of the ARC Award in Family Centered Care. The Alberta Children’s Hospital is the largest public hospital for sick children in the prairie provinces, and is located in Calgary.
