Peter is a Founder of the ARC Energy Research Institute and provides analysis of current trends in technology and updates on energy-related businesses to ARC Energy Funds' investors and portfolio companies. He is an emeritus member of ARC’s Investment Committee.
Peter joined ARC in 2002 with a background in geophysics and economics and has over 30 years of experience in the energy business. Best-selling author of A Thousand Barrels A Second and The End of Energy Obesity, he is a sought after international speaker recognized as an expert energy economist and has been a key contributor on a number of government and industry panels. Peter has a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a graduate degree in Econometrics from the University of Southhampton and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from the University of Alberta.
Peter is also the founder of Studio.Energy. The Studio is where people come to think creatively, receive mentorship, develop new solutions, and explore complex challenges in the world of energy.
